CENTER FOR HIGH-GRADE CERVICAL LESIONS

Within my practice, the "Center for High-Grade Cervical Lesions" operates as a specialized clinic for patients with severe pre-cancerous conditions (CIN 2 and CIN 3) undergoing conservative surveillance without conization. Although these conditions represent precursors to cervical cancer, it is known that many of them resolve spontaneously. After a thorough colposcopic examination, an individualized treatment plan is proposed. On the other hand, if conservative monitoring is not deemed safe, cervical conization is indicated.

Data from our set of high-grade lesions, which were managed conservatively, are regularly published at international conferences.

CONIZATION

In our center, we perform conization using a delicate method with the application of a monopolar flag (Fischer excisor). This is a one-day surgical procedure (you arrive in the morning and can go home in the afternoon), and the procedure can also be carried out under local anesthesia.

Conization is associated with an increased risk of premature delivery in the future. Therefore, in our center, we only recommend it for young women in cases of suspected invasive carcinoma or when the lesion on the cervix is not clearly visible during colposcopic examination. Otherwise, we strive to monitor patients conservatively. For more detailed information, please refer to this link.
